Gold Fields Limited is a South Africa-based gold producing company with a production of 3.6 million ounces per annum from eight operating mines in South Africa, Ghana, Australia and Peru. A ninth mine, Cerro Corona Gold/Copper mine in Peru, commenced production in August 2008, at an initial rate of approximately 375,000 gold equivalent ounces per annum per annum. The company has total attributable ore reserves of 83 million ounces per annum and mineral resources of 251 million ounces per annum. The operations of the Company include Driefontein, Kloof, Beatrix, South Deep, Tarkwa, Damang, St Ives, Agnew and Cerro Corona Gold Mine. In September 2009, the Company disposed its holding in Eldorado Gold Corporation.
