Godrej Industries Limited is engaged in the businesses of manufacture and marketing of oleo-chemicals, their precursors and derivatives, bulk edible oils, estate management and investment activities. The Chemicals segment includes oleo chemicals, such as fatty alcohols, fatty acids, alfa olefin sulphonates and refined glycerin. Veg oils segment includes refined vegetable oils and vanaspati. Estate segment includes the business of giving premises on leave and license basis. Finance and Investments segment consists of investment in subsidiaries, associate companies and other investments. It is also engaged in energy generation through windmills and medical diagnostics business. During the fiscal year ended March 31, 2009 (fiscal 2009), the Company launched the remodeled Natures’ Basket store at Worli, Mumbai.
