Ipca Laboratories Limited (Ipca) is an India-based pharmaceutical company engaged in the business activity of importation and marketing of pharmaceutical formulations, as well as active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs). The Company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Ipca Laboratories Ltd (India). Ipca manufactures over 150 formulations representing various therapeutic segments and dosage forms. The dosage forms include tablets, capsules, oral liquids, dry powders for suspension, and injectables (liquid and dry). APIs therapeutic segments include analgesics, anthelmentics, antiosteoporosis, anti-Ulcerative Colits, antibacterials, anticoagulant, antidepressants, antidiabetic, antiemetics, antifungal, antihistaminics, antihypertensives, anti-inflammatory, antimalarials, antiplatelet agent, antirheumatics/antigout, antiseptic, diuretics, hemorheologic agent, bone resorption inhibitor, antipsychotic, central nervous system (CNS) Stimulant, uricosuric and antithrombotic.

BRIEF: For the fiscal year ended 31 March 2009, IPCA Laboratories Limited's revenues increased 21% to RS12.93B. Net income decreased 26% to RS1.01M. Revenues reflect an increase in income from operations. Net income was offset by an increase in material cost, higher purchase of traded goods, an in increase in depreciation expense, presence of foreign exchange loss against an income and higher manufacturing & other expenditure.
