ITV plc is a United Kingdom-based broadcasting company. The Company’s three businesses include broadcasting, global content and online. ITV1 is a commercial television channel, which broadcasts entertainment shows on television, such as The X Factor, Britain’s Got Talent, Dancing on Ice and I’m a Celebrity. ITV’s digital channels include ITV2, ITV3 and ITV4. Its global content business includes ITV Studios, ITV’s international production companies and ITV Global Entertainment. On March 5, 2008, ITV plc announced that it had completed the sale of its 50% share in Liverpool FC.tv Limited to The Liverpool Football and Athletic Grounds Limited. On April 7, 2008, it announced that it had completed the sale of its 50% share in Arsenal Broadband Limited to KSE UK, Inc. On May 13, 2008, it acquired the Swedish-based independent production company and programme formats business, Silverback AB. On September 29, 2008, it acquired a 51% stake in Imago TV Film und Fernsehproduktion GmbH.

BRIEF: For the six months ended 30 June 2009, ITV plc's revenues decreased 12% to £909M. Net loss decreased 95% to £72M. Revenues reflects a decrease in income from Broadcasting and Other business segments. Global Content, Online and Other segments. Net loss was offset by a decrease in operating expenses, the absence of exceptional operating costs, the absence of impairment of intangibles and a decrease in operating loss.
