Jollibee Foods Corporation is engaged in the development, operation and franchising of restaurants under the brand name Jollibee. In the Philippines, the Company also has, as subsidiaries, Fresh N Famous Foods, Inc., which develops, operates and franchises restaurants under the trade names Chowking, Greenwich, Delifrance and Manong Pepe's and Red Ribbon Bakeshop, Inc. (through Red Ribbon Holdings, Inc.), which develops, operates and franchises restaurants under the Red Ribbon trade name. It also has subsidiaries and affiliates overseas, which develop and operate its international brands, Yonghe King, Chun Shui Tang,Hongzhuangyuan and Lao Dong. At December 31, 2008, there were 651 Jollibee stores in Philippines, of which 339 are franchised and 312 are Company owned. There were also 49 Jollibee stores overseas, including the United States, Vietnam, Hong Kong, Brunei, Dubai, Guam, Saipan and Jeddah. The stores offer food products that are prepared based on original Company recipes.

BRIEF: For the six months ended 30 June 2009, Jollibee Foods Corporation's revenues increased 12% to PP23.37B. Net income increased 16% to PP1.31B. Revenues reflect an increase in sales from Food service and Franchising segments. Net income was partially offset by increased raw & packaging material costs, higher manufacturing & store operation costs, a rise in general & administrative expense and higher interest expense.
