BRIEF: For the nine months ended 30 September 2009, KBC Groep NV's interest income decreased 28% to EUR9.35B. Net interest income after loan loss provision decreased 5% to EUR3.26B. Net loss totaled EUR2.77B, vs. a profit of EUR141M. Interest income reflects a decrease in volume of credits granted to clients. Net loss reflects significant losses from financial instruments as well as lower fee and commission income.
