AKB Bank Moskvy OAO (Bank Moskvy OAO or Bank of Moscow OJSC) is a Russia-based financial institution, which offers a wide range of services to its clients including corporate banking, retail banking and investment banking services. AKB Bank Moskvy OAO offers such services as opening and keeping bank accounts of physical and legal bodies, offering the debit and credit cards and safety deposit boxes, financial intermediation, cash and non-cash money transfers, currency exchange, lending and investment services, and other services. It has branch network of 395 offices and 263 points-of-sale located points-of-sale. The Bank operates through 53 branches and one representative office located in Frankfurt, Germany. It is a part of the Association of Russian Banks (ARB) and other organizations. In addition, it has 11 subsidiaries and four affiliated companies. The Bank is 43.99%-owned by the Moscow City Government.

BRIEF: For the six months ended 30 June 2009, Bank Moskvy AKB OAO's interest income increased 53% to RUR40.69B. Net interest income after loan loss provision decreased 79% to RUR2.1B. Net profit for the period decreased 88% to RUR650.1M. Interest income reflects an increase in demand for loans. Net profit was offset by lower operating margins mainly due to higher fee and commission and administrative expenses.
