Norwegian Air Shuttle ASA is a Norway-based company active in the low-cost airline industry. The Company is engaged in the provision of low-fare, point-to-point airline transportation services for passengers throughout Europe. As of December 31, 2008, the Company operated 40 aircrafts. It serves a total of 170 routes to 87 destinations in addition to seven charter destinations. BRIEF: For the nine months ended 30 September 2009, Norwegian AirShuttle ASA's revenue increased 21% to NOK5.56B. Net profit for the period increased from NOK141.5M to NOK445.6M. Revenue reflects a significant increase in revenues from Passenger revenues, as well as a major increase in ancillary passenger revenue. Net profit for the period benefited from the presence of profit from associated company.
