BRIEF: For the nine months ended 30 September 2009, Red Electrica de Espana SA's total revenue increased 5% to EUR889.7M. Net income for the period increased 14% to EUR247.1M. Total revenue reflects the growth in demand for the Company's products and services. Net income for the period benefited from higher financial income and significantly lower financial expenses as well as higher profit from equities in affiliates.
