Sundram Fasteners Limited is an India-based manufacturer of automotive components. The Company’s product range consists of high-tensile fasteners, automotive and other miscellaneous cold formed/extruded parts/precision formed gears, powder metal parts, iron powder, radiator caps, gear shifters, tire carriers, hot and warm forged parts, pump assemblies (water/oil/ fuel pumps), engine components, water/oil pumps kits and spares, shafts and hubs. The Company’s subsidiaries include Sundram Fasteners (Zhejiang) Limited, Peiner Umformtechnik GmbH, Cramlington Precision Forge Ltd, Upasana Engineering Limited and Sundram Bleistahl Ltd. During the fiscal year ended March 31, 2009 (fiscal 2009), Sundram Non-Conventional Energy systems Ltd. became a direct subsidiary of the Company. The Company owns a 52.94% interest in Sundram Non-Conventional Energy systems Ltd. A subsidiary company, Reiner Logistik GmbH, was formed to carry on logistic activity in Germany.

BRIEF: For the fiscal year ended 31 March 2009, Sundram Fasteners Limited's revenues increased 11% to RS18.1B. Net income decreased 56% to RS343.2M. Revenue reflect higher other operating income and increased sales from both Domestic and Export division. Net income was offset by an increase in consumption of raw materials, a rise in salaries & wages expense, higher interest expense and an increase depreciation expense.
