Surgutneftegas OAO is a Russia-based oil company. The Company’s activities include prospecting and exploration of hydrocarbons, oil and oiland-gas fields development and construction; oil products and petrochemicals manufacturing and marketing; power generation; gas processing, and gas products marketing. As of December 31, 2008, the Company operated in 16 constituent territories of the Russian Federation-from Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) to Kaliningradskaya Oblast. The Company marketing network covers the North-West of Russia, including Saint-Petersburg, Leningradskaya, Tverskaya, Novgorodskaya, Kaliningradskaya and Pskovskaya Oblasts, which provides wholesale, retail, petroleum products storage and additional gas station services. In March 2009, OMV Aktiengesellschaft sold its 21.2% stake in MOL to Surgutneftegas OAO.
