BRIEF: For the six months ended 30 June 2009, Thales SA's total revenue increased 1% to EUR5.74B. Net loss for the period totaled EUR25.3M, vs. a profit of EUR244.1M. Total revenue reflects increased sales in the Aeronautics & Space Defense and Security business segments as well as North America, Near and Middle East and Africa and Latin America. Net loss for the period reflects a decrease in gross and operating margins and an increase in interest expenses.
