On May 12, 2008, the Company, through its wholly owned subsidiary, Tata Consultancy Services Asia Pacific Pte Ltd., acquired 100% interest in Tata Consultancy Services (Thailand) Limited. On September 19, 2008, it acquired 100% interest in Tata Consultancy Services (Philippines) Inc. On December 11, 2008 the Company acquired 50% interest in National Power Exchange Limited. On December 31, 2008, it acquired 96.26% interest in TCS e-Serve Limited. On February 10, 2009, the Company, through its subsidiary, TCS e-Serve International Limited, acquired 100% interest in TCS e-Serve America, Inc.

BRIEF: For the six months ended 30 September 2009, Tata Consultancy Services Limited's revenues increased 10% to RS146.42B. Net income increased 24% to RS31.76B. Revenues reflect higher income from information technology & consultancy services. Net income also reflects a decrease in overseas business expenses, lower services rendered by business associates & others, decreased interest net and lower share of loss of associates.
