BRIEF: For the fiscal year ended 31 August 2009, Tenaga Nasional Berhad's revenues increased 16% to RM28.79B. Net income decreased 65% to RM917.9M. Revenues reflect higher income from sale of electricity and goods & services. Net income was offset by increased operating expenses due to higher fuel cost & payments to the independent power producers, decreased share of profit of associates and the presence of foreign exchange loss vs. an income.
