3i Infotech Limited is a technology company with a range of solutions. Its portfolio of offerings comprises software products, technology services and transaction services. A majority of these solutions are for the banking, financial services and insurance industry segments and also for the Government sector. It launched a retail initiative named I-SERV, under which it wishes to provide a range of value-added services to its consumers in India, especially in remote rural areas. The company’s wholly owned subsidiary, 3i Infotech Consumer Services Limited, has launched eMudhra, an initiative to provide digital signatures. Effective June 1, 2008, 3i Infotech Financial Software Inc., the Company’s subsidiary, acquired Regulus Inc. In July 2009, the Company increased its stake to 51% in Taxsmile.com India Private Limited, 60% in FinEng Solutions Private Limited, 100% in Aok In-house BPO Services Limited and 100% in Services Private Limited.

BRIEF: For the six months ended 30 September 2009, 3i Infotech Ltd.'s revenues increased 14% to RS12.34B. Net income decreased 12% to RS1.08B. Revenues reflect an increase in sales from software products, higher IT enabled services and an increase in income from Transaction services. Net income was offset by an increase in operating, selling & other expenses, higher depreciation & amortization and an increase in interest expenses.
