Tata Teleservices (Maharashtra) Limited (TTML) is an India-based company engaged in the business of provision of telecommunication services consisting of basic services and cellular services. The Company provides telecommunication services using Code Division Multiple Access (CDMA) technology. The Company is a subsidiary of Tata Sons Limited. The Company holds two unified access (basic and cellular) service licenses (UASLs), one for Mumbai Metro and the other for the Rest of Maharashtra and Goa. During the fiscal year ended March 31, 2009 (fiscal 2009), the Company introduced products, such as photon+ and power launcher. The Company also introduced banking activities on mobile using short messaging service like checking balance, request for cheque books and checks on loan and credit card accounts, transfer of funds and payment of bills, and information on mutual fund policies. In August 2009, TTML and Quippo Telecom Infrastructure completed the transaction of merging the two companies.

BRIEF: For the three months ended 30 June 2009, Tata Teleservices(Maharashtra) Limited's revenues increased 2% to RS5.12B. Net loss decreased 1% to RS342.6M. Revenue reflects an increase in income from telecommunication services segment and higher income from passive infrastructure support services segment. Lower loss reflects a decrease in marketing and business promotion expenses and a fall in interest expense.
