(RITL), Shaw Wallace Breweries Limited (SWBL), Palmer Investment Group Ltd. (PIG) and RG Shaw & Company Ltd. In November 2009, the Company acquired Tern Distilleries Pvt. Ltd.

BRIEF: For the fiscal year ended 31 March 2008, United Spirits Limited's revenues increased 55% to RS47.34B. Net income decreased 52% to RS2.72B. Revenues reflect increased income from India & other Foreign market and higher other income. Net income offset by an increase in employees cost, higher power & fuel expenses, an increase in rates & taxes expenses, higher advertising & sales promotion and an increase in freight outwards expenses.
