Turkiye Vakiflar Bankasi T.A.O. (Vakifbank) is a Turkey-based commercial bank. BRIEF: For the six months ended 30 June 2009, Turkiye Vakiflar Bankasi T.A.O.'s interest income increased 11% to TRY3.38B. Net interest income after loan loss provision increased 46% to TRY1.14B. Net income increased 28% to TRY616.5M. Total interest income reflects increased earnings from interest on loans and reserve deposits. Net income benefited from decreased commission fees paid as well as increased dividend income.
