BRIEF: For the nine months ended 30 September 2009, VMware, Inc.'s revenues increased 4% to $1.42B. Net income decreased 21% to $140.7M. Revenues reflect an increase in income from the services. Net income was offset by a decrease in operating income, higher research & development expenses, a decrease in investment income, higher general and administrative expenses and increased sales & marketing expense.
