Aug 19 - An elephant at a zoo in England is fitted with her own pair of bespoke shoes after suffering from sore feet.
The 40-year-old female elephant named Gay was fitted with the pair of 500 pounds sterling (820 USD) red slippers to keep her front feet comfortable after months of suffering from abscesses.
Keepers at Paignton Zoo in Devon, England also give regular pedicures and foot baths to Gay in order to decrease the swelling on her paws and to provide pain relief.
This video shows keepers fitting the first of the pair of slippers.
