Nov. 3 - United Auto Workers President Ron Gettelfinger says the union will try to convince Ford to keep product commitments even after workers rejected a cost-cutting deal that would have saved the automaker an estimated $30 million annually.
Gettelfinger, speaking at the 2009 Reuters Autos Summit in Detroit, says "we want to see them make money, we want to see them keep their quality up and keep their productivity up. So we want to keep them on a competitive basis.Speaker: Ron Gettelfinger President, United Auto Workers
