Tata unveils world's cheapest car

Jan. 10 - Ratan Tata was finally able to silence all his critics when he unveiled the world's cheapest car, 'Nano' costing Rs.1 lakh.

The car has a 624cc engine and is priced at about half that of the current cheapest car in the market, the Maruti 800. The new car will do 20 km per litre, it will have lower pollution levels than a two-wheeler and will meet all foreign environmental criteria.
