Nepal temple priest replacement row
Jan. 4 - A protest was held in front of the Nepalese Embassy in New Delhi against the removal of the chief priest at the famous Pashupatinath Hindu temple in Nepal.
The newly appointed Maoist government in Nepal brought an end to the 300-year-old tradition and replaced the Indian priest with a Nepalese national. Irate protesters accused the Nepalese government of hurting Hindu sentiments.
