Jennifer Lopez teams with Samsung to help children

June 8 - Samsung celebrates 10 years of giving through their Hope for Children foundation. Alicia Powell reports.

Technology company Samsung celebrates the tenth anniversary of their children's foundation, Hope for Children. The organization teams with charities associated with well-known celebrities in order to help give children a better future. Two of those charities include Jennifer Lopez's Maribel Foundation and the Demi and Ashton Foundation. This year President Bill Clinton was honored with the foundations Ambassador Award. Singer Jason Mraz, who just recently launched his foundation, said he has simple goals for his charity. SOUNDBITE: Jason Mraz, singer, saying (English): "Just more giving and inspire others to give. I don't want to certainly preach, I just want to give and certainly lead by example." Actor Chris Noth has used his taste buds to support the organizations closet to his heart. SOUNDBITE: Chris Noth, actor, saying (English): "I'm partnered up with Lova Tea which is going to be on all the tables because they have created a charity tea and I created one called 'Sweet Florida Dream' and they give half of their proceeds to my charity of choice for anyone that buys it." Singer John Legend entertained the crowd of celebrities which will also include fellow singer and fan, 80's pop-star Debbie Gibson.
