ROUGH CUT - NO REPORTER NARRATION Britain's Prince Harry arrived in the Bahamas on Saturday (March 3) on the second leg of his tour in celebration of the Diamond Jubilee of his grandmother, Queen Elizabeth. He was met in Nassau by Bahamian ministers and other officials, the national honour guard and police band. He inspected the honour guard before heading to his hotel. He was due to make a speech in front of the parliament building in Nassau on Sunday. Ahead of the Prince's arrival some residents said they were excited about his visit. "I love to see the Prince, I have never seen a prince before," said six-year-old Ethan Stubbs, one of thousands of children due to take part in a rally for the young royal on Monday at the National Stadium. Market vendor Celestine Eneas said: "Well, I could not see him not choosing our beautiful land of sand, sea and sun and so much great history, with his great-grandmother and his grandmother, so he couldn't miss it. We are very excited to roll out the red carpet for the Prince." It's Harry's first visit to the Bahamas, an independent country which is part of the Commonwealth of Nations and recognises Queen Elizabeth II as head of state. He jetted in from Belize, and will travel on to Jamaica on Monday, completing his tour in Brazil on March 8. The trip is Harry's first official solo foreign one, and marks the 60th anniversary of his grandmother's accession to the throne.
