Cairo's Tahrir Square erupts in angry protest on Monday night, after Egyptian officials released the results of the first round of a presidential vote. Many here are furious at the outcome, which will pit Mubarak loyalist Ahmed Shafiq against the Muslim Brotherhood's Mohamed Morsi in a June run-off. Declarations of free and fair elections mean little to activists here, many of whom feel the vote - like so many before - lacked transparency. As the anger grew, the country's military-controlled state television reported that a group of protesters had set fire to Shafiq's campaign headquarters. State TV said the demonstrators had vandalized the campaign office before setting it alight. No injuries were reported in the blaze. The run-off vote between Shafiq and Morsi is set for June 16 and 17. Travis Brecher, Reuters
