ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) STORY: Chinese President Hu Jintao made a stopover in the Canary Islands on Wednesday (June 20) on his way back to Beijing after the G20 summit in Mexico. Hu was accompanied by a large group of ministers and other policymakers, and was due to meet Spain's Deputy Prime Minister Soraya Saenz de Santamaria and Industry Minister Jose Manuel Soria in a meeting that is expected to focus on economic affairs. The Group of 20 summit in Mexico on Monday and Tuesday was overshadowed by Europe's debt crisis that threatens to stretch Europe's own rescue funds, which could lead more funding being required from the IMF. Risks are mounting that Spain, the euro zone's fourth-largest economy, will need a full-blown international rescue as its longer-term debt yields hover around seven percent, a level that has forced other euro countries to seek bailouts.
