Aug. 7 - A roadside bomb kills at least nine civilians and wounds three others travelling in a minibus in the Paghman district of Kabul on Tuesday. Travis Brecher reports.

The site of deadly bombing in the Afghan capital Kabul. At least nine civilians were killed and three others were wounded on Tuesday when a roadside bomb hit a minibus, according to a police official. The driver of the bus, who survived the blast, said the remote controlled bomb was detonated as the bus crossed a bridge. (SOUNDBITE) (Dari) DRIVER OF MINI-BUS, MOHAMMAD NASIM, SAYING: "A controlled bomb which was placed under the bridge exploded and hit my bus. I saw the man who planted the bomb arrested by people before he ran away from the scene." Roadside bombs are by far the deadliest weapon deployed by Taliban insurgents in the war against NATO and the government of President Hamid Karzai. But civilians bear the brunt of the violence.
