Americans living outside the U.S. celebrated Obama's victory by watching the election results come in with fellow expats. In Beijing , supporters cheered when CNN broadcast Obama's win. (SOUNDBITE) (English) FULBRIGHT FELLOW, PATRICK WILSON SAYING: "I'm really happy to see the results this way. I've been watching the election all fall and it was getting a little close the last couple of weeks so, I'm really glad. I think Obama did a lot better than I thought he was going to do actually so I didn't expect the result today, but this is awesome." In Sydney Australia, guests ate snacks and watched the results pour in. Some even cast a mock ballot on an iPad. And although no Americans live here... residents in Obama Japan celebrated his victory. In Japanese, "obama" means small beach-- but there's nothing small about their support for the U.S. President. (SOUNDBITE) (Japanese) THE "OBAMA FOR OBAMA" SUPPORT GROUP PRESIDENT SEIJI FUJIHARA SAYING: "No pressure, but I would love to see President Obama while he's still in office. The most wonderful thing of course would be to have him come and visit Obama city." For now, thee 32,000 residents living in Obama are happy to enjoy four more years of fame.
