Amateur footage posted on the internet purportedly showed Syrian air strikes on Thursday and Friday (November 15-16).
A clip said to have been shot in the city of Taftanaz on Thursday shows a jet in the air. Bright lights move away from the jet, then small objects fall to the ground. A speaker explains that the air force is bombing Taftanaz, as large clouds of smoke and dust rise from buildings.
Similar scenes were said to have been shot in Saqba, east of the capital Damascus, on Friday. Again there are jets in the sky and sounds of explosions before large plumes of smoke rise from built-up areas. A man says Saqba is being targeted by air strikes.
Video reportedly filmed in nearby Kafr Batna shows streets covered in rubble and heavily damaged buildings. The clip is said to show the aftermath of aerial bombings in the region.
