Explosions rock Gaza City as Israeli forces launch a series of pre-dawn strikes. And as day breaks on the Palestinian enclave, the blasts continue. Residents are left to sift through the rubble, trying to salvage what they can. And here in a local hospital, the bodies of those killed ---- and the city's young wounded are being treated. The latest strikes have brought the death toll in Gaza to more than 80 since the bombardment began last Wednesday. Israel is continuing to deploy ground forces along the border with Gaza. The country has called up 75,000 reservists in preparation for a possible ground invasion. Israel's military says more than 500 rockets fired from Gaza have hit the Jewish State since Wednesday. Over 300 rockets have been intercepted by the 'Iron Dome' defense system, while another 99 reportedly failed to reach Israel and landed inside the Gaza Strip. The missiles have a far greater reach than those used in previous conflicts - capable of reaching both Jerusalem and Tel Aviv.
