Nov. 21 - U.S. President Barack Obama pardons a turkey a day ahead of Thanksgiving, with the First Family later heading to a food bank to help out. Deborah Lutterbeck reports.

On Wednesday U.S. Presidnet Barack Obama keeping faith with a long standing tradition, pardoned a Turkey at the White House a day ahead of Thanksgiving. (SOUNDBITE) (English) U.S. PRESIDENT BARACK OBAMA SAYING: "All right, I've got to give the special dispensation. You are hereby pardoned. Congratulations, Cobbler. You have a great life." The Turkey named Cobbler will live out its days at George Washington's plantation at Mount Vernon, Virginia. Later the First Family headed to the Capital Area Food Bank to hand out food to those in need.
