STORY: There was another night of clashes between Anti-Mursi protesters and police in Cairo on Wednesday.
On Tuesday, tens of thousands of Egyptians filled Tahrir Square to protest against a decree that would grant President Mohamed Mursi extraordinary powers.
Mursi's party, the Muslim Brotherhood hopes to end the crisis by replacing Mursi's controversial decree with an entirely new constitution that would need to be approved in a popular referendum.
It is a gamble based on the Islamists' belief that they can mobilize enough voters to win the referendum: they have won all elections held since Hosni Mubarak was toppled from power.
