The Daily Digit today is $3.38. That's how much, on average, Americans had to shell out on a gallon of regular gas according to the Lundberg Survey. The price shows a drop of nearly a dime over the past 3 weeks and marks the ninth week of straight declines. The reason? A slip in crude oil prices, increased production in refineries, and seasonally weak demand - that fell even further than usual because of super storm Sandy.
