Dec.27 - The Argentine coast guard captures two Chinese vessels suspected of illegal fishing. Paul Chapman reports.

Argentine coast guard forces pursue two Chinese ships suspected of illegally fishing in Argentina's waters. Argentine Naval Prefecture video shows Coast Guard vessels closing in. Officials say warning shots were fired. The Chinese vessels were found to be carrying ten tonnes of frozen seafood. The officer in charge of the round-up says the vessels have been seized. SOUNDBITE: MARIO EICHORN, PREFECT-MAJOR IN CHARGE OF THE OPERATION, SAYING (Spanish): "The crew was not impeded in any way. The ship is subject to the fishing law which includes not only confiscation of the cargo but also a fine ranging from five to ten million pesos ($1, 018 to $2, 036 US)." The fishing vessels were spotted about 400 kilometres off the Patagonian province of Chubut. They came from the Chinese port of Shidao.
