A morning commute comes to a violent end on Thursday near the South African capital of Pretoria.
At least 150 people were injured in the accident that happened when a commuter train crashed into a stationary locomotive.
Many of the injured were school children, but no fatalities were reported.
Around 20 people were in a serious condition, including one of the train drivers.
The cause of the crash is being investigated.
South Africa signed a 5.8 billion dollar contract with France's Alstom in December to supply 3,600 new train carriages as part of a 10 year programme to overhaul its aging rail network.
