The explosions, targeting five mostly Shi'ite nieghbourhoods, left at least 26 people dead.
Dozens of other people were wounded in the blasts.
Bombings in Iraq have surged since the beginning of the year, with Sunni Islamist insurgents targeting Shi'ites and security forces.
No-one had claimed responsibility for Sunday's attacks.
But Iraq's al Qaeda affiliate has vowed to retake ground lost to Iraqi and American forces over the last few years.
