EDITORS PLEASE NOTE: EDIT CONTAINS MATERIAL WHICH WAS ORIGINALLY 4:3 Clad in a black tank top, sweats and a long aqua wig, actress Amanda Bynes arrived at Manhattan's criminal courthouse to face several misdemeanor charges stemming from a May 23rd arrest. They include unlawful possession of marijuana, reckless endangerment and tampering with evidence after police entered her apartment and she allegedly threw a bong out the high-rise window of her midtown apartment. Bynes was silent during the brief proceedings as the judge postponed the hearing. He ordered the former Nickelodeon child star to appear in court September 26th. At her court appearance in May, Bynes also wore a wig-- long, platinum and tangled, shaking her head as the judge outlined the allegations against her. The past year has been a rough one for the 27-year-old actress. She's had several run-ins with the law and is currently on probation for driving on a suspended license in California. And recent bizarre behavior such as posting messages on Twitter calling the Obamas "ugly", talking about trying to reach a weight of 100 lbs (45 kg) and an obsession with plastic surgery has created a barrage of negative publicity.
