After shooting a film set in space 150 years in the future, you might think Matt Damon would be used to flashing lights and loud noises. But South Korean fans certainly tested that to the limit on Tuesday Damon joined South African actor Sharlto Copley in Seoul to promote new movie "Elysium". He said the film's director was who drew him to the film. SOUNDBITE: Actor, Matt Damon, saying (English): "I was really the attraction of Neill Blomkamp. That was what made me want to do this film, and as I said earlier, the imagery that he had designed and the world that he had created by the time I sat down and talked to him it's so unique and original. It was really very easy decision for me." Set in the year 2154, Elysium shows a divided humanity. The poor live on an overpopulated, ruined Earth, while the rich exist on the Utopian space station Elysium. Damon plays an ordinary man with only five days to get to Elysium to survive -- Copley's character tries to stop him. The Bourne trilogy star said fighting with his South African colleague was one of the best parts of the film. SOUNDBITE: Actor, Matt Damon, saying (English): "Shooting at the world's second largest garbage dump which we did for the sequence where we tried to hijack the data and Sharlto comes flying down to the space ship and stabs me and we get into a big fight. That was a very memorable sequence." South Korean fans like 20-Year-Old Lee Yoo-Jin were delighted at Damon's appearance, in more sense than one. SOUNDBITE: 20-Year-Old South Korean Fan, Lee Yoo-Jin, saying (Korean): "Matt Damon is much more handsome than I realised. The film's out soon and I can't wait. I hope Matt comes back soon." Elysium launches in South Korea on August 29.
