Scenes of chaos and despair in Aleppo as residents scramble in the aftermath of a barrage of government strikes. The video, which can not be independently verified by Reuters comes as rights groups say more than 300 people have been killed in the assaults. Now opposition leaders are saying they won't attend peace talks unless the bombardments ends. Many no longer have a place to call home. Survival itself can come down to luck -- where good news can be just making it through an attack. Syrian authorities say they are battling rebels in control of parts of the city, once Syria's business hub. But rights groups are condemning the use of barrel bombs, as an indiscriminate form of bombardment. The attacks come as world powers are crafting peace talks set for late January. The aim is to agree on a transitional government to pull Syria out of a 2-1/2-year conflict that has killed more than 100,000 people.
