Rebels forces from the Free Syrian Army open fire on regime forces in Idlib province. Video obtained by Reuters shows fierce fighting as rebels try to capture two strategic camps on Monday. (SOUNDBITE) (Arabic) FIELD COMMANDER, ABU KHALED, SAYING: "Thank God, we broke through many barriers at the camps. We seized ammunition from them." Clashes to control of the camps have been going on for months. The two sites act as a passageway for President Bashar al-Assad's regime to transport supplies to the city of Idlib. Nearly 200,000 people have been killed in the conflict which began with peaceful protests in 2011. The U.S. has since entered the fight forming a coalition to battle the most powerful rebel group, Islamic State. As U.S. warplanes bomb Islamic State in Syria's east, Assad's military has intensified its own campaign against rebels in the west and north of the country that Washington considers its allies.
