Brazil's leftist President Dilma Rousseff is headed for a second term. This was Rousseff casting her vote early in the southern city of Porto Alegre. In one of the most tightly contested presidential elections in decades, she edged out her opponent, centrist senator Aecio Neves. This means another four years for the Workers' Party, which since taking the reins of Latin America's largest economy in 2003 has virtually transformed Brazil. Rousseff will begin her new term on New Year's Day.
