EDITORS PLEASE NOTE - THIS EDIT CONTAINS GRAPHIC MATERIAL A ruthless reprisal beating as fury mounts over the apparent massacre of 43 Mexican student teachers from the Guerrero state. The students were purportedly killed by corrupt police linked with gangs in September. During the clashes, taking place in the resort city of Acapulco, one police officer was beaten unconscious. EDITORS PLEASE NOTE: THIS EDIT CONTAINS GRAPHIC MATERIAL (SOUNDBITE) (Spanish) UNIDENTIFIED PROTESTER, SAYING: "Let's create awareness. We demand the return of the students with life. We are marching in peace but the government has started to repress us. The government is here and it has no capacity to give the people a solution. The people are angry. The people are demanding the government to react and we are demanding the vanishing of Pena Nieto (President Enrique Pena Nieto)." Violence is mounting across Mexico over the deaths, after the government said it found charred remains of the students in a garbage dump and river. The beaten policeman was eventually taken away by ambulance. His condition is unknown.
