France increases Paris security in light of attacks

As mourners continue to visit the memorial outside of Charlie Hebdo's office, France reinforces security to 300 key locations in Paris. Jillian Kitchener reports.

The memorial outside of Charlie Hebdo's offices grows by the day. These candles, flowers and drawings pay tribute to the lives lost in last week's deadly attack. It also gives Parisians strength to move on, in the face of major security threats to their country. SOUNDBITE (French) DIDIER FELDEN SAYING: "What happened Sunday really gave me, well gave us all, strength to fight and to not be defeated by what happened. Because what happened should serve as a lesson we should rise from it. And honestly, I am proud to see this, and it makes me feel better." Some feel better by coming here, but French security forces are not lowering their guard. Soldiers are establishing a strong presence in some 300 locations around Paris... where threats to public transportation hubs, among others, are a concern. And Parisians say the added security is helping to ease minds... after French president Francois Hollande declared the country to be on the highest terror alert following last week's attacks.
