ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) STORY: Video released on Friday purports to show an alleged spy, currently detained in Turkey, helping three British girls cross into Syria. The man who assisted the three London schoolgirls, who are now believed to be in territory controlled by Islamic State, is a Syrian national working for a country in the U.S.-led coalition against Islamic State, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu said on Friday. Cavusoglu did not give the suspect's nationality although on Thursday (March 12) he had said he was not from the European Union or the United States. The coalition also includes countries such as Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Jordan, Bahrain, Australia and Canada. Amira Abase, 15, Shamima Begum, 15, and Kadiza Sultana, 16, flew to Istanbul from London on Feb. 17 and then traveled into Syria. In the video, the girls are seen getting out of a taxi helped by two men, one of whom is alleged to be the spy. It is unclear how the videos were recorded. British police and the girls' families have issued appeals for their daughters to return home.
