ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) STORY: Hundreds of people, some in nightwear, gathered in Hong Kong's financial centre to take part in the city's 5th annual Pillow Fight Day. Organizer Tom Grundy said thousands of people were taking part worldwide. "We're joining hundreds of cities around the world for the most fun fight you've ever seen here. Let's hear it for Hong Kong," he said adding that the rules were to go easy on children and not to kill anyone. Pillow fight day in Hong Kong has no sponsors and is not affiliated to any political or social group, making it an event purely for pleasure. "I think it was double of last year, I think we've got up to about a thousand people. And I think after the year Hong Kong has had, we deserve to let off a little steam," said Grundy, referring to pro-democracy protests in 2014 that paralyzed the city for over three months causing a constitutional crisis. On the event's Facebook page, Grundy thanked the participants, those who cleaned up the mass of feathers left behind and the police who let the half-hour pillow fight proceed despite it being 'an unlawful gathering'.
