New York Governor Andrew Cuomo in Cuba says he is excited to ''be part of this moment in history'' as he hopes to drum up business for New York. Deborah Lutterbeck reports.

New York's Andrew Cuomo becomes the first US governor to visit Havana since December's announcement of a thaw in relations between Cuba and the U.S. He's in Havana seeking business as well as a chance to make history. (SOUNDBITE) (English) NEW YORK GOVERNOR, ANDREW CUOMO, SAYING: "It's my honor, it's my pleasure and I can't tell you how excited I am to be part of this moment in history, which is what today is really all about." The New York delegation is expected to meet with Cuban business leaders to discuss opportunities in biotechnology and agriculture. . (SOUNDBITE) (English) NEW YORK GOVERNOR, ANDREW CUOMO, SAYING: "We had a good discussion at lunch with the Minister of Foreign Trade about what business opportunities we could develop now. The President of the United States has the ability to grant licenses to businesses so that businesses can actually start developing right now in select areas and those are areas that we want to pursue." Cuomo's two-day visit comes just a week after U.S. President Barack Obama told Congress he intends to remove Cuba from a U.S. list of state sponsors of terrorism, clearing the way to restoring diplomatic relations and reopening embassies.
