The Secret Service went on alert outside the White House after agents spotted a small drone flying over Lafayette Park next door. The unmanned air craft was hovering at an altitude of about 100 feet. The agency says its officers detained an individual and ordered the drone be brought down. That individual, whose name wasn't immediately released, was handed over to the custody of U.S. Park Police. The drone was removed as a precaution and was later declared safe. It's not the first time the Secret Service has had to deal with a UAV near the White House. In January, an employee of a U.S. spy agency crashed his small drone on the White House grounds. This latest incident is likely to raise more questions about the president's security.
