ROUGH CUT (NO REPORTER NARRATION) Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi was accorded the guard of honour at Beijing's Great Hall of People on Friday (May 15) in the presence of Chinese Premier Li Keqiang. Modi arrived in China on Thursday for a three-day tour and meetings with Chinese President Xi Jinping. During a bilateral meet, Xi told Modi the two countries should build mutual trust by "controlling their differences" and strengthen cooperation between the two Asian giants. Xi urged Modi to strengthen coordination on global and regional affairs and "work together to promote the international order in a more just and fair direction". Modi will visit the economic powerhouse of Shanghai and meet business leaders there on Saturday. This is the 64-year-old Indian leader's first trip to China since being elected last year.
