Johnny Depp's dog saga continues in Australia

An Australian politician says it's the administration who should be in the dog house over Johnny Depp's dogs, not the actor. Julie Noce reports.

And yet the saga of Johnny Depp's dogs continues... The Hollywood star made headlines after illegally bringing his two Yorkshire terriers into Australia without the proper documentation. The authorities found out and gave him until Saturday to get the dogs out of the country, or have them euthanized. The country's Agriculture Secretary Barnaby Joyce made the announcement Thursday noting no special treatment would be allowed. (SOUNDBITE) (English) AUSTRALIAN AGRICULTURE MINISTER BARNABY JOYCE SAYING: "A gentleman by the name of John Christopher Depp, 51-years-old, aka Jack Sparrow. (cover with broll) If we start letting movie stars, even though they've been the sexiest man alive -twice- to come into our nation, then why don't we just break the laws for everybody?" But politician Clive Palmer says the administration is to blame, not the actor. Who let the dogs IN, anyway? (SOUNDBITE) (English) FEDERAL MP AND LEADER OF THE PALMER UNITED PARTY, CLIVE PALMER SAYING: "They clearly allowed the dogs to enter Australia and they're the ones that are responsible not Johnny Depp." The dogs, Boo and Pistol were last seen at the house Depp is renting while filming the latest instalment of "Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales."
